Alright so, long story short I got my engine replaced. It blew again, they replaced it under warranty. Got it back, and started having troubles again! They say it's overheating but we keep telling them it's not, I've been meticulously watching the gauges for this purpose. Anyhow, we've come to an agreement that they will continue to honor the warranty if we pay for some of the new parts(they are changing all 8 fuel injectors) and an extra temperature gauge. Then I thought about all those one I've seen on the A pillar, what is a good brand and where should I look for something like that? I understand they usually have about 3 gauges on the pillar, I just need to make sure one of them is a temp gauge.
It's a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 thanks :D

I replaced my SRT pillar with a 3 gage AEM pillar. AEM gages are good. Or you can get a AeroForce Interceptor and read a ton of stuff including trans, cooling temp. I still have the old SRT pillar if interested send me a PM.

Within our fine list of contributing vendors I know Geno's Garage have a wide choice of pod gauges.

Moe's Performance has a fair selection as well as our friends from XDP.

You could also consider the steering column mounted pod. Keeps all the gauges in the same area to look after.

outside of this forum there is a site dedicated to gauges and pods : AutoMeter.

Have fund shopping.

I always run Autometer. No problems in my 20 years using them.

Okay thanks! I guess my next question is, is there an engine temp gauge pod available?? I'm looking through these and don't see any engine temp, am I looking in the wrong area or is it called something else?

So I have found this set here, which I like a lot and is a reasonable set.
03-09 Dodge Ram Cummins Custom Gauge Package

Includes the gauges I need with the color options I prefer but, it is for a Cummins diesel. It appears the website doesn't offer anything like this for gas engines. If i'm connecting it straight to the OBDII, would it matter if diesel or not? Should I keep looking?

If you go to autometer you can get pretty much the same thing. Difference is they don't necessarily have a pre-built package. All you have to do is choose the gauges you want and the associated pod and you will be on your way.

I have not heard good things about GlowShift gauges, something along the lines of 7/10 will have a problem with them at some point. I really like my Isspro gauges, they come factory matched to the OEM gauges. Autometer is another good gauge that I haven't ever had a problem with.

Oh and my pillar mount is a GlowShift and Its fit isn't that great, ill probably replace it with a better quality one eventually. It took a lot of work to get it to fit decently.

Geno's garage is a great place to get gauges and mounts.

The autometer gauge pod doesn't fit like the factory a pillar.

Factory pillar has no gap at the bottom.
