Thanks, i appreciate it. My setup is djm 3 inch drop lower control arms in the front and rear is a mcgaughys flip kit with stock shackles,2 inch drop blocks, air lift springs, load controller compressor kit and shock extenders. For shocks i went with monroe reflex stock length in the front and the rear shocks are also monroe reflex 99-07 ford f350 superduty front shocks ,theyre 3 inches shorter than the stock ram shocks

Yessss!! I've been looking for someone who used shock extenders! In the front I assume?.. Where did you get them? Also how does stock length shock travel affect the dampening on a lowered setup?

I went with shock extenders in the rear to retain the factory shock length. They came with the 2/4.5 mcgaughys kit when i boughy. After i went from a 4" to 8" drop i ended up removing the extenders and going with a shorter shock. You wont need shock extenders for the front since lowering the truck is reducing the shock travel. The original shocks only lasted about 6 months after the lowering before they finally quit on me. If youre picking up a mcgaughys flip kit it should come with the rear shock extenders

Thanx! You beat me to it! I just finished researching them and figured that out anyway. I'm not doing a kit I'm just piecing together front and rear lowering components. Doing a 2-4 drop with lowering keys, drop shocks front & rear and lowering leaf springs. Did you get an alignment before and after you lowered?

I got it aligned after i lowered it. The camber was way out after the 2" drop, the camber adjustment is maxxed out now and with the 3" drop i have now the camber is a little negative again.

Great thread.. I've looked through it 3 or 4 times already..

Here are my lowered Rams.. I no longer have the white/black one. I was stupid and sold it.. Still currently have the silver one though. I did keep the wheels off the white one and put them on the silver one.. I like the blacked out look better than the standard polished srt wheels.

Please list tire, wheel, and drop specs on that white one and yes you messed up getting rid of that. I can say for me that the white QC is the best looking QC I have ever seen, SUPER CLEAN!!!

Here is a pic of my '04 Rumble Bee 2wd. It is lowered with a McGaughys 2/4.5 spindle kit/flip kit. I did not use the rear shock extenders and used some Belltech Nitro 2s, stock shocks up front, the rear leafs are in the highest holes in the shackles(lowest ride height), cut half a coil up front also. 275/55-20 tires.

2/4 drop with 305/35/24 on 2008 Laramie. in the pics with the stock 20s in was in the 4.5 setting. these are old pics but you get the idea. i wanted it lowered, but still usable as a truck as i ride dirt bikes and quads about every weekend.
