Hello everyone,
I'm rebuilding the carburetor on my 86 dodge w 250 318 right now. Everything went pretty well until I got to this valve. It is stuck really tight and I completely stripped the brass screw head with my screwdriver. It's been soaking in pb blaster for a few hours now and just won't budge. Is there anything I can do or is the carburetor just a fishing weight now?
Thanks, David

Put the screwdriver in the slot and tap the handle with a hammer. Tapping it will shock the threads and it should work loose after with a twist.

Correct but twist and tap at the same time. They actually make a screw driver specifically designed to do that but a regular driver and a mallet works fine.

Brass is soft. All it needed was that little shock. You'll remember that trick now for ever! Lol
