I so hate scumbag dealerships. Bought a 12 Laramie on 10/12 and the thing has been back to the dealer 3 times. Nothing mechanical really but the rear middle seat belt was installed incorrectly and when they basically put a bolt in, they destroyed the buckle somehow and gave it back to my wife. So we had to make another trip to get a new buckle put in.
The thing has also had a rattle in the headliner or roof something fierce. So 9 days ago we take it in to get the rattle stopped, make an appointment 1 week ahead of time, and we still don't have our truck.
But now, the best part, the service guy called yesterday and apparently this truck (it was a demo with 3,200 mi.) had some body work done to remove hail damage. None of this was disclosed at the time of purchase. And....they are taking the truck back to the body shop that did the previous work because they are worried that there may be a weld broke causing the rattle.
So they knowingly sold us a damaged vehicle and did not disclose that information. That information would have certainly have affected the deal we made. Found this little gem to help my cause. http://www.ok.gov/omvc/damagedisclosure.htm
The CS guy has been talking like they may try and find a truck that they can trade for to get us out of this one. His manager isn't in until Fri-Sat because of turkey day. I don't know if they can or not but I want out of this truck. It looks like this could be a reoccurring problem. We negotiated for a new, undamaged truck and received a truck with problems for the same deal as a perfect truck. I am livid.
What do you guys think the odds of getting into a new truck are? I know they violated OK law by not disclosing the damage but I think all of that would require a lawyer and may not be worth the hassle. Just paid the tag and first payment and we don't even have our damn truck!!!!!
