Major page update! I like that rotary MUCH better. The switch isn't terrible, but rotary is just natural for volume control. Looks like mid February targeted release. I will definitely make this purchase.

The rotary look real better.

But holy crap, 150 $ for a 2$ switch, and although I exaggerate, 30$ for a harness.:puke:

I really believe they will sell more of them if they asked 200$ for the bezel and the harness. 300$ is really to much.

300 is a bit much but you got to have it. Most of us installing this are express owners with minimally equipped trucks.

Anyone know how much the OEM steering wheel volume control is if installed by the dealer?? I dont want to do the install myself. I'm guessing it may be around the $300 they want for the bezel ??

Hour or 2 of labor depending on how comfortable the tech is with the airbag removal

I would figure about an hours labor, and somewhere around 125.00 for parts, if you don't have the evic switch with the VR and phone buttons add another 60.00. Personally I did mine myself, not just for the cost savings, but because most techs do not take the time or the precautions to avoid marring, scratching and or damaging things. I have no battle wounds in any of my interior panels or covers and I would bet my last dollar that would not be the case had I paid the dealership to damage my truck for me.

While nice to have you don't gotta have the vol control, and to me the 125.00 I paid for the steering wheel controls, which is PNP on all trim levels is by far the better investment as it gives you much more than vol control.

Wow not sure why you guys like the look of that rotary switch, I think I liked the other switch better. At least they could have used an illuminated one for 150.00. But that is just my opinion.

It would be very nice if someone who purchased this would take pictures of it, and the pin-out in the jumper they provide, so the rest of us will know which leads to use if we so decide to add our own switch.

Ive got the rocker style at home. They filled my order instead of changing it. I'll take some pics and get them posted later.

Anyone do this install and lose iPod and aux input? Neither of those work on mine

EDIT
Make sure you plugged the gray USB port back into you radio. That is what gets you your iPod and Aux input.

This is the back of the switch, I believe green is volume up and orange is volume down.

Here is the other end of the wire harness coming of the bezel.

This is where the volume control wires connect.

This connector goes into a white box which then connects to the big harness.

Here is the big harness they included for interfacing between the trucks wire harness and the radio and bezel.

Ok I admit it Im confused, seems like a lot of plugs for one two way momentary rocker switch. Did you loose the ipod as well?

No I didn't. That is the gray USB plug on the radio. It doesn't even have any thing to do with the wiring harness from OEM.

That big wire harness is also used to interface an add-on CD player to the truck radios.

Edit
Never mind I found the missing part. My daughter had opened the package and it didn't get put back in before it was put on my work bench.

What part was missing? Where do the white connectors plug into?

Checked that. No dice.

Have you tried unplugging there wiring harness and plugging in the stock harness into the radio to make sure it works again?

My white box was left on the table when my daughter opened the package. She put the other stuff back in and set it on my workbench.
