Hello All,
I have a 2014 RAM 2500, RA2 5" with the 4 speed fan Been looking at all the threads about the upgrade and have a few questions;
1) The threads indicate that the Dual Zone & Single Zone bezel will work for the upgrade. I was looking to integrate the upgrade of the RA4 with the auto climate control. With that you need the auto button, some show a conversion of blending a working Dual Zone & Single Zone bezel. Will a Dual Zone bezel temperature and auto buttons work without the mod leaving the passenger side just not functional? Or do I have it completely wrong?
2) Different parts lists show a different control module (68105017AE) and (68268186AA). Is there a difference between the modules other then the price?
3) Why does the 2500 and 3500 not need the humidity sensor? I have a 2014 2500 and will this cause issues with the HVAC mod for the control system (auto temp button)?
4) Do you need the original vin number for the radio? several sources say no, is that correct?
5) can you use the original bezel with no mod cables to get the unit up and running with reduced features to test the RA4 radio? got it off ebay and not sure of the functionality and would like to test before I invest any more money.
