What's the difference in the NAV function on this radio compared to having my RA3 NAV activated..... can't really find any info on it???

Somebody else who knows where all the links are will chime in and send you to the right page, I'm sure. But, the RA3 doesn't have a 3D view or something like that in the Nav, and also doesn't have HD Radio. There are other things too I just don't remember what they are.

Not remotely. You would need to gut the truck and replace most electronic components along with all the wiring. That's why I said it's not possible even with a big hassle.
