Any GM you drove has less storage than any 5th gen ram. It’s a fact. The two bins below the floor alone have twice the storage as that tiny back storage in the GM that is thin and doesn’t allow you to use ice like the ram for drinks. Lol have someone shoe you the storage you must be missing them
I use it all but I just thought it was neat to actually have storage in/under the seats (Jeep and GM). I could always use more ;)

I guess it's all relative. My old 2001 Ram 2500 HO CTD had zip for storage compared to these 5th gens. :)

Part of the problem is that having the HK speakers there is a very large subwoofer under the rear seat that takes up 2/3 of that storage space. Even doing the rear seat fold hack there is only a few added inches of space back there. Not happy with the storage at all as I do carry allot of gear. I had to add a pelican cargo box to the bed .

my laramie has lots of storage. on mine the woofer is behind back seat and doesnt take up any storage space. I had a very nice '17 sierra ccsb before this truck and it didnt have near as much storage.

Lol I have a regular cab and I can't believe how much space there is. Glove box, cubby above glove box, big door pockets, center console, pull out drawer, a couple little cubbies good for small stuff like chapstick, a little space under front seat (purse goes there), and a full width storage spot behind the seats for couple small toolboxes, ratchet straps, random tools, rags. I have a toolbox in the bed but could probably put all that stuff in the cab somewhere.

I am disappointed in rams use of behind the seat storage, but with the sub on the alpine and e-torque battery there probably isn't much space. I wish they did fold flat seat backs like Nissan. On my 4th Gen quad cab I did the seat hack to gain some space.

5th Gen CC with ramboxes storage is not an issue. The in floor storage is nice and I wonder how many owners have no idea it is there. I don't have the under seat storage, but it doesn't look as nice as 4th gen quad was. The large flat space is nice. I know Ford does that a tad better the bottom seat on the ram (rear reclining seat) doesn't fold up very tight to the back like Ford does. Still feels like suv level of space. If you can do ramboxes you gain sooo much storage that is easier to use. Main reason I don't miss or actually think it is better I don't have under seat storage.

Ram front bench seat on the 4th Gen did have center seat storage under seat cushion, but it was rare to see. I don't know if 5th gens still have this. 5th Gen center console has massive storage I don't think anyone else compares.

Door pockets are huge and glove boxes are great.

I got the 4th Gen in a quad since I was upgrading from a Frontier. Unfortunately the Frontier rear seat storage options were better, but the ram shear size helped even it out. The dog crates fit in the Frontier better than the Ram even after the seat hack. I don't need the CC for people, but it has proven to be wonderful to have.

It is all about how you see yourself using the storage every vendor has slightly different options. Definately explore different trim levels, cabs, and options to find the combo that is best for you as it can be hard to find two like Rams on a lot since there are so many options.

With the reclining rear seat, in floor storage bins, and storage under the rear seat, I have a lot of room. Storage bins for first aid, gloves, flashlights and so on. Under seat storage for spare clothes, topi maps, and anything I need quick access to. Behind the rear seats I can have a shotgun or rifle, handgun(s) and I always have an AR-7 with me. I will keep a camera and a lens or two behind the seats also. I have a Home Depot covered box in the bed for tools and rope, tow strap and oddball stuff I don’t want in the cab.

I was reading an article today comparing the big 3 trucks. Now I have been a diehard Ram guy since I could drive (but have driven GM and Ford). PERSONALLY I like everything about the Rams except storage. Even comparing it to the same company (Jeep vs Ram). The GM rear seats have storage in the seat (where your back goes) and my Grams cherokee the bottom of the front seats lift to have storage.

So I guess what I'm asking is do you guys like your storage options? Do you wish the Ram had these options?
Great storage in my ‘18 1500 Crew; truck storage is kinda like a shed; you always need more space. Maybe you need a trailer.

OMG!!! I've never had so much storage in a truck until I got my 2020 RAM.

Two glove boxes
Awesome flexible center console storage
Under back seat
Under floor in back
RAM boxes (yeah baby!)
And just massive back seat area anyway.

Seems that article might have been a bit opinionated against RAM.

I thought about it (seriously) and honestly all the storage works for me but having storage in the seats would be kind of cool lola

The space in those seats is a bit small, but it just makes the seats harder. The under floor storage for RAM is much better, larger, and doesn't harden the seats.

Ram had the best storage of all makes .
1 in the floor storage containers .
2. Under back seat storage .
3. Double glove boxes
4. Center console storage
Top and bottom.
5. The best for last , 2009,2015, 2019, 2020
All my Rams have had
RAMBOXES. Greatest item Ram has come out with .
All the other manufacturers can’t duplicate.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm not saying the storage is lacking for the average Joe, but as a Marine (who prepares for anything) I seen to be wanting more :D. Right now this is what I carry in my truck.

I don't need it but I WANT more of that makes sense can never have enough. I just figured they would use the otherwise useless space

I heard that they leaked and didn't line up correctly. Did that change?

I would keep clothes in there. Never sat in the rear of a GMC so I don't know if it's harder or not
