Random piece in my oil pan

So a little while back when I did my timing chain replacement I had to drop the oil pan and replace the gasket while I was at it. While I was in there I found this small plastic piece in the bottom of the pan with some metal "shims" with a slot in them. Seems they stack together and fit over this small metal thing rocking on a spring. Nooo idea what the heck it could be.

Added picture but not sure if it worked

I recently worked on my transmission and I can't recall that being any piece from the valvebody at least.

Whoops. Sent the picture to a friend who worked at a Chrysler dealership a few years back. Will see what he says if you haven't found out already.
