Relearn TPM System

I had some work done on my truck at the dealer, so i went ahead and got them to align the front end.

They also aired the tires up to the correct pressure (the cold weather lowered the pressure) and also "Relearn TPM System" and I was wondering what exactly that is.

Is it just a reset of the tire pressure monitors, or do they reprogram it? Why would they need to?

Yup. I work at a TV station in Nashville and all our reporters were out there.
