I remembered reading that one of the conditions that must be met was a fully charged battery. Well, since the truck hasn't been driven much I thought "Why not put my CTEK charger on the battery overnight?" I did that and presto, the remote lowering works like a charm. Many new vehicles sit at transporters and dealerships and never get fully charged. Dealerships sometimes put a fast charge on prior to delivery, not good, but the battery never gets a chance to really get "up to *****". So, I guess the moral of the story is to check battery condition of a new vehicle before you suspect any other electronic "gremlins".
