Replacing Rocker Panel

I have an 05 Ram quad cab and I'm going to try putting on new rockers and Cab corners. I know there is 2 pieces per side for the rockers but what I can't find is the part on the back side of the rockers that the weld to. That part is mainly where the rust is and it looks like it is part of my floor. I don't want to go that far into the floor. So I'm wondering if there is any partial parts out there I can use to fix or do I need to make my own plate steel to replace the back then attach the new rockers to that. Hopefully that is making sense I'm not sure how else to explain it.
