Reversing door open brake bypass

While backing my 2016, I opened the door to see the rear wheel near the drop off of the driveway, below what's visible in the door mirror - truck came to an abrupt stop. Can I disable this "safety" feature. I also back up with the door open when hooking a trailer - don't have rear camera as tailgate switched for full height cap door - to move specific distance by eyeing the cill and ground after lining up with side mirrors.

Someone in another post said try buckling the seat belt and see if that does it. I’m not sure as my truck doesn’t have this feature yet as I’ve not gotten the recalls done.
