Rpms drop or truck dies and hard occasional hard start

So after I come to my first stop the rpms will either drop or the truck will die. When i go to crank back up it has a hard time startimg unless I press the gas while cranking it will fire right up. Also occasionally when i go to start it up after its been sitting it will have a hard time starting unless I give it a little gas.

I originally thought it was the egr but I replaced that and still have the problem.

Nope. I even checked with a code reader in case there were any that didnt throw a CEL.
