Just picked one up at AA so I can clear my persistent evap CEL code. Is there anything I should know before plugging it in? Do I need to calibrate it for MPG?

You need to do the general set up like engine size, fuel tank size, unit preferences ect. Once that is done you can set up the gauges the way you want. If you want to use is for fuel accuracy you will need to set up the fuel fill. The full instruction to set it up is in the manual that comes with it as I cant remember it all off hand.

I use mine for gauges mostly and avg fuel consumption

I really wish we had a trans temps sensor that worked for these. I had one once, but realized I couldn't show trans temp. Which is what I wanted, among other things.

Yes, I did that, but 2nd gens, and early 3rd gens don't have any temp reading coming out of the computer for the scangauge to read.

So far I like it and gauges seem accurate. But like you said I wish there was a trans temp reading.
