Unless you plan on tuning the engine and building a bunch more power there probably no need. I'm not even sure any tuners have cracked the 8HP75LT transmission yet. As for the punishment this series of transmission can take let's see is @Wild one will chime in(he knows how to break them...lol).

Shift kit? To do what? The transmission is all electronic. You can fine tune all adjustments including shift line pressure through tuning. I’ve yet to see a need for a shift kit on my 2017 with the 8hp 70. Shifts are slightly firmed up in my tune.

Modern transmissions aren't the same as the pre-electronics transmissions (and even some of the early electronic ones). There isn't much need for a shift kit as they're commonly known - you can control almost all of those parameters with a tuner. It's not like the old days of Turbo 300s/400s.

That said, if you're looking for better/stronger clutch packs/solenoids/valve bodies/etc that will actually beef up the transmission to handle higher power, I'm sure there's stuff available for that.

Welcome to the world of modern transmissions. In the past, soft shifts meant slipping. No longer is that the case.

All of that above.

You can tune it for firmer shifting. And unless you plan on making stupid power the 8HP75 is good for a lot more than the 6.4 is putting out. At stock it's rate for like 550 ft/lbs of torque. There are upgrades for it, but at that point might as well swap in a 8HP90.

I had around 500 fl/lbs going to a bone stock, slightly tuned 8HP70 and it held up just fine.

IF U have a 2022 and having trans issues, FIRST stop is dealer, since U got a Warranty.

If your trans is slipping then a shift kit/tune likely won't fix it. You've got a deeper problem that needs addressed.

Mileage on the truck? How is the truck used/driven? Any major modifications?

does it slip all the time? Is the slipping random? Or more often under certain repeatable circumstances? How do you primarily use your truck? Towing/hauling or just as a vehicle to drive around.

You could put a Zip kit in it,and there are outfits who can beef it up,but as everybody has stated it's an electronic transmission, that can be tuned, but you'd need an unlocked pcm/bypass cable and then find a good transmission tuner who could firm up the shifts with an HP tune, but kiss any warrenty you have good bye.

You're going to need to take it in when it's doing it, do NOT shut the truck off, call ahead and see if a tech can come along with a computer to gather live data of what the trans is doing.

You say it feels like it's in neutral - are you saying it revs up high and 'hangs' between shifts? Does it slam into gear when it finally goes? Does it seem to be random or is there a certain time/temperature it happens at?

Yes it rev's up high. Does not slam but i stop the vehicle and turn off/on. I use it for casual use only. No it is just random at operating temp always.

Like others have said. I would not do anything to I since you are having some issues. Somehow get that fixed. If you start to do something and it blows, it's gonna be on you!! Maybe if you have a gopro or something you could have on you and when it happens start to record it to show the service dept. what is going on!!

I wouldn't stop it and turn it off/on. If you're having an issue, you need the PCM to gather and store that information. If there's a built up history of it doing this, then the PCM will at least throw a 'soft code' that a dealer's code reader can pull. You're under warranty, so by having it do it more often will likely bring it up enough that the dealer will be able to see what's going on.

You say you only use the truck casually - does this mean it sits a lot? If so it COULD be that you have some condensation building up inside the transmission and mixing with the fluid, which COULD cause issues like this.

Don't quote me on this, but i think i read the 70 and 75's use the same valve body,if so the sonnex kit would fit,but i'd phone or contact them to make sure .
