Ok so my dilemma is my truck currently will fit into garages with a 7' opening. Im planning to increase tire size from 35" to 37" which doing the math will hit the opening.

Has anyone switched to the puck style antenna on the top of their CC or just shaved it off all together?

Im curious as to what obsticals you ran into. I don't use satellite radio so that part is fine I just don't think I can tolerate the truck messaging me that my antenna is out everytime if I disconnect it.

I guess you can take it off but you’ll have a hole in the roof.
You could probably change the style of it for a lo pro. That might help. My friend @SoCal has to air down to get his truck in his garage. It has 37’s I don’t know how much lift he’s got on it but...

I think there has been a couple of threads about changing the style of antenna for that very reason. I hate to say this cause it sound kinda unfriendly but you might try the "search" function and see what you can find. I really don't remember where the threads are----sorry

All good. I know the puck style will fit but it has one less connection than the shark fin. I'm trying to avoid pulling the interior and antenna off in 118 degree heat if someone has already tried it and it didn't do the intended modification.

I'll dig around some more and share. Im sure others will benefit

If the headliner has to come out I would think that would be a pain in the ass----

The headliner doesn't come all the way out but you do have to start removing some of the interior pieces to gain access to the bolt to remove it

The puck only has the SAT/GPS signal on the one connection...

The sharkfin has an extra connector for the cellular modem in the 8.4 radio. If you remove/disconnect it on a 13-17 truck you will get a cell system needs service message on the radio... This can be eliminated by using a cell Bypass Plug (but any uConnect services will no longer function if you sign up for that.

Excellent news! I don't use any of the Uconnect features. Any recommendations on this bypass plug? The plug stops the error message??

If you have a 13-17 truck with the 8.4 radio, then yes. Plugs into the back of the radio instead of the antenna cable.

You can get one from us for $40 ($35 w/anything else).
Pm sent.

Hello, I’m trying to do the same thing. Where do I order that bypass plug?
