I bought a new car for myself a few days ago so unfortunately it meant letting my truck go so I decided to give it to my oldest son. Since I spent a lot of time, $$$$, love, and DNA into customizing it...it will fit right in down in TX. I upgraded the interior with all LED lighting, Katzkin leather seats (heated front and rear), 12 inch infotainment system (Phoenix Android Stereo), ditched the factory so called Alpine speakers and installed real Alpine speakers with a Sundown 10" sub and two Alpine amps, and the push button start with proximity alarm (Digital Guard Dawg). Then there's the external stuff...LED projector headlights, LED tail lights, 20x10 RBP Sahara wheels, 35x12.5R20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 4 inch BDS lift kit, Core 4x4 rear upper and lower control arms. The performance mods were an ARH complete exhaust system (headers to tips), a Vararam Ram Air CAI, and a tune. I've made it clear he gets it on the condition he doesn't make any changes to the truck. It's been a great truck to me for the last 4 years and all the highway miles I had to put on it and I'm happy to be giving it to my son and his family. Though it won't be in my driveway...at least it's still in the family!

Great looking ride. I would have kept and got car on the side, but then just my humble opinion. I am in TX, truck for my needs a must, haven't had a car forever, not wanna one either, or even SUV. Would luv to have Play LT Camaro in driveway, but a waste.

You have done a lot of Great Mods to the Dodge and it looks pretty dang well, lol. I am sure your son shall appreciate it.

Maybe he'll let you drive it once in a while if you ask nicely.
I seriously thought about keeping the truck, but this was the only way the wife went along with me getting a new car. At least this way it stays in the family. I'd just have to go down to TX if I want to drive it again!

Awful long trip to drive a truck, roflmao. I got FAM want me to visit in NJ, or NC, nope, at over 5 a gallon not gonna happen, and forget flying, who wants to roost out at different airports for unknown hours, days at a time, if U even get there. I'll just roost here, LOL.

@MAJ CHARLIE: Nice selection of rides you post in yer signature, no Motorcycle? lol.

I gave up riding back in 2001. Wife definitely wouldn't sign off on me starting up again.

Anyway, this means I'll be selling off parts I was going to use to upgrade the engine (i.e, a full setup from Jay Greene...cam, MDS delete, Hellcat lifters, etc.) still in the boxes and some other cosmetic and interior items. Should be posting in the coming weeks.

Well, the day finally came. I've spent the last week making sure everything was G2G before my son showed up. Changed the plugs (though they were good for another 30k), cleaned the air filter, lubed the front UCAs, completely detailed the truck. I was totally SPENT when last night rolled around.

But to do something nice for my son and his family was worth it.

So what car did you get
2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Got my wife a 2021 Ti Sport for our anniversary last year. She got a car...I got a card! Decided to get one for myself. I had been looking for a while but came across this one last month...so I bought it. The only way the warden went along was one of my other vehicles had to go. Decided my son could use a truck again...and that's how he got it.

My question also. But more like what truck did you get?
I would have loved to have kept my truck, but at least it's still in the family. Besides...I was having my days where it was difficult climbing up into it without a running start. Old age! I'm sure I can bring it back up here when my son decides he's tired of it.

Think I rode in an ALFA once in Germany. The baddest kick the backside car I had in GE was a 74 280 S Mercedes, of course, last car I had before I PCS back to Conus. Boy was that Mercedes a tank, but no compare, apples and oranges. Good Luck with your new ride..
