SRT Hood and grill insert????

Anyone know of where I can get a "cold weather" grill front for at least the hood scoop? I'll maybe just end up making a template of it and making my own.. Wanted to see if i could find one cheap first. Or if anyone has done this, please hit me up!

Yeah I'll just make my own from plexi glass and paint it black. Helps in this cold weather we got here!

I cut a piece of plastic flat car matt material to fit the opening, poked six little holes through it and zapped strapped it in three places top and bottum (6) and was done (placed on the outside). Funny cause I seen a Daytona in Town Today with the SRT-10 Hood and his plate was diamond embossed but the diamonds where solid plastic so I was saying that guys Ok in winter but not taking advantage of the Heat extraction in the summer months.

The Ram daytons have the SRT hood but the scoop is closed off. You could pick up one of those scoops for the winter time.

The Daytona's use the Rumble Bee scoop...it's not an SRT hood at all.

Great idea!! Didn't know they where a false opening! Where might I look for that part?

Yeh but this one had an SRT-10 hood with closed off insert. Not the first Ram I've seen like that so a bit Odd yes and a $1450 Mod with Paint up here. Mine came with the holes in the diamond. I certainly Agree no doubt the Daytonas do come with the Rumble bee scoup but who knows I could be wrong which BTW the Rumble Bee scoup can be modded but there are over 70 diamonds to drill out and file by hand then you saw-hole the hood about six times.

Edit: Yep I'm out to Lunch too, and am gonna try and take a picture of the Lookalike Guy with Rumblebee scoup and daytona Wing and spoilers/running boards.

OK Hope I get this right/

Rumble bee comes with a $294 Steel Scoup with closed off Plastic Insert. (Thats what I paid for my Magnum/Primed from Mopar).
Daytona comes with Steel SRT-Hood with closed off plastic scoup insert, and
SRT-10 Rams with Steel SRT-10 with opened (diamond shape) scoup insert (I paid $730)

Yes Sir if a Fellow wants he can buy a cheap stick on Rumble Bee scoup.

To clarify though, The Factory one is Not Cheap and is made Of Metal and if not tightend just right will create 6 dimples in the Metal where the M6 bolts go up thru the Hood and once the Insert is snapped into place it can only be removed if the scoup is unfastened. There is also a black hard Plastic Piece that the scoup sits on which gets painted at the same time.

Danny's suggestion for cutting a patch would be the best. Swapping from the SRT to the blocked off Daytona insert can cause an issue. I know of a hood that has lost its insert a few times at speed (not mine).

They are made to be installed once, I have one of the plastic Tabs on mine that snapped off as soon as I attempted to tighten it home, but luckily it was the lay flat piece and not the grille part.
