New member, just picked up a ute, removed the wheels and inspected the rear leaf springs,
Question, is it standard to have the half helper spring or has this been installed to carry more in the tub?

Number 189 of 200.

Can you post a pic? If you're referring to what I think you are, it isn't a helper spring, that's a snubber for traction. See the arrow, that what you're talking about?

They're sorta like factory installed traction bars, though you'd get a helluva lot better performance with a set of Cal-Tracs.
