Starting to plan 2014 sport build..deciding which route to take

Thanks alot ill be on the lookout for your build as well. I have the same plan with speaker locations but may upgrade to 3.5s in the dash and move the tweeter at some point. I know what ya mean i wish i could have kept my 2w7s but im thinking w6s or sa-12s. Did you start with the 8.4"?

Your welcome, I have a 5" Uconnect deck for right now. I will eventually get a double din with CD/DVD/GPS. It will either be a Kenwood or Alpine. My sub i cant use is a Image Dynamics ID Max 10. The subs that have been recommended to me are the JL TW3 10's in a stealth box or prefab a trends box get Kenwood shallow mount 12s. So I have some decisions to make on my low end.

I had an sa10 ported and it pounded. Great value imo.

You might be able to use that ID Max, they are awesome subs! Give Net Audio a call or email and ask them if one of their boxes will work with your sub.

Alright we got some sound!! Exciting but long day. Ive got all of the amps installed and wired on the amp rack and tested. Today i finally ran my wires from the headunit and the amp pac pro unit. Hooked up my digital optical and then made a bundle of optical/speedwire/2 speaker wires for tweeters. Still just have a basic tune for now need to work on setting my gains on my amps as i have never done that with a digital input and dsp. Also need to keep playing with crossovers and time alignment. Only downside is my helix director hasnt connected to my dsp yet. At first it said "no aco device detected". So then i updated to 1.76 and now it still wont connect. idk whats up with it yet. Still...an exciting day and at least i have sound!

Well after far to long and waiting a few months for the box. I finally have it done. ill post some pics tomorrow with subs in.
