So I get in my car to start it and it won't start. The engine is turning but it just won't start up just turns. And battery is strong any ideas?

Throttle Control Warning Light

I have a feeling your go fast pedal is bad, had this happen to me on my 07, replaced the pedal assembly and all better.

Unfortunately there is not road side fix unless you can get to the parts store and buy one and test it out... They are expensive if I remember so it might not be a part you want to just buy if its not the problem

Edit, after looking at the parts list for autozone may just be a TPS throttle position sensor, only $40ish bucks.. no whole pedal assembly on a 05.

The light goes away after like 10 seconds.

Not sure the exact model or specs of your truck but the first place I would start is the Throttle position sensor. Most likely the culprit

You know what I remembered what has happened before like 2 times before the truck would just shut off at idle. Randomly. But other than that it rarely did it. Drove it for lunch started and everything with no issues.

That light comes on everytime you start and then will turn off. I doubt that is your problem. Can you hear your fuel pump running when you turn the key to on? If you don't hear it running check your fuse in the TIPM and check the voltage to the pump also.

I had that happen once, the plug in the throttle body came loose. Plugged it back in and the light went away. It could also be the sensor on your accelerator.

Turns out it was the fuel pump.

:happy107:+1 for me!

I ended up spraying starter fluid in the TB and saw it was cranking up. So I then go a rubber mallet and started banging on the fuel tank and boom started right up. turned it on and off and now its working. but I gotta change that pump asap!
