As expected, it looks like I gained 1.25" of lift after swapping my QLLs for Bils 5100s @ 2.8. It's already settled an inch since I installed them last night, I'll check again over the next few days to see if it drops any more.

there are 2 different sets of quicklifts that will fit our trucks. One set is 1.5" which they say is for older models but will fit and one set is 2.25" .. I wonder how many people have mixed these up , then complain of only 1.5" of lift.. Really have to watch those part numbers.

I'd be interested to hear this as well. I did plenty of research on them before I made my purchase and this is the first I've heard of there being 2 different sets. Mine are RS999944 and RS999930 which are the only QLL's listed on Rancho's website as being compatible with my truck. So unless someone swapped them out when I wasn't looking, I don't think I got the wrong set.

ok you have the supposed 2.25" part #999930&999944.
The 1.5" ones say for 2012, dont know the part number. But i know someone who had them on a 2013. Dont know how much actual lift he got, definitely still had a little rake. It seems strange that some people say they get 1.5" and some claim a full 2"... Jrod did u have a rear coil spacer in your before pic with the quicklift. That is the exact stance i want.

how was the ride with the quick lifts. I had bilstiens on my 13 f150 and hated them, way too stiff for any dirt roads, or speed bumps for that matter. Mabe there better on the ram. I want a softer ride for the logging roads around here..

The ride was great with the QLLs. I was excpecting a stiffer ride with the Bilsteins, but so far it hasn't really been that noticeable. Then again I haven't been off of the pavement with them yet either.

did you use the stock coils from the truck or the coils off of the Rancho's? I'm seriously considering switching to the Bilsteins.

Ive had both and prefer the bils, at 2.8 they are stiffer then the ranchos but i like the ride better, after one winter the compression knobs on the ranchos were seized therefor useless

Its all personal preference. I loved the bilies on the pavement and were amazing on the highway at high speeds. But any rough road...ouch, slamming around. On the ford forum guys with the quick lifts wrapped a small piece of suran wrap around the spot with the knob a few times and said everything was good. If you want height, bilies are the way to go. You want comfort in your ride, rancho is the way to go. Just my opinion..
