Don't have it in 1500 truck... Don't need a 2500 truck nowmore grunt=cummins!-enough said!
I don't really have too much of an issue with towing as long as you're expecting some challenge (not white knuckle) but it's the grunt I need and from what I understand that the 8 speed 3.92 gears pretty much solve thatI tow a 25 foot Jayco trailer around 5500lbs wet with a 2019 1500 classic with a Resse WDH and friction sway bar. It does very well but you do feel a little movement when semis pass but nothing white knuckle. But check this out, since my Ram is Quad can I have two car seats in the back and trying to but a 65lb dog in between while we go camping it doesn’t work out to well. Since we don’t take the dog on every camping trip we just traded my wife’s Grand Cherokee WK2 for a new Durango RT Hemi but I also got a pro pride hitch $$$ still in shock with the price. But let me tell you it tows soooo much better than the ram in regards to sway I was so shocked I might use the Durango all the time now. Get a good hitch system weigh your rig and dial the hitch in correctly.
Stay the course and you will be happy! Use a Load Level Hitch and or air bag suspension. The 392 gearing will be plenty of grunt unless you will be climbing 14,000ft. elevations.I don't really have too much of an issue with towing as long as you're expecting some challenge (not white knuckle) but it's the grunt I need and from what I understand that the 8 speed 3.92 gears pretty much solve that
I have a Blue Ox weight/sway bar so it's should be goodStay the course and you will be happy! Use a Load Level Hitch and or air bag suspension. The 392 gearing will be plenty of grunt unless you will be climbing 14,000ft. elevations.
not wanting to hijack.
Why do you say the hitch is setup incorrectly if the RV dealer set it up? do they not have the tools or is a knowledge thing? I just bought a TT with WDH. Seeking your info and knowledge. thanks
