I went the Leer 700 route. Full fiberglass tonneau. Is it THE most practical tonneau, no, but IMO, they look far better than any of the flip or rollup types. I went this route due to looks and the security it provides on road trips. On vacation road trips we generally have quite a bit of valuables in the bed under cover. I have a company work truck I drive daily that has a bed I can use if I need to haul large stuff. Or if I know I have to haul larger items for a trip or whatnot I will take it off. Not a big deal for me and a friend.

Mopar one, found this one on CL relatively cheap for what they cost ($500) so I settled for black, kinda matched my truch too. lol I want to change it for a white one though.

I have been contemplating this issue for months now and I finally made up my mind. As some of the other comments have said, your own personal opinion and bank accounts make the final decision, so make sure you factor in everything when you make your decision.

For me, it was the Diamondback 270. I personally love the look and the usage potential of this cover, but as far as price goes, it was at the top of the line ($2,000 installed by the local Linex dealer). But Diamondback offers many different styles / prices to fit any budget. The 270 has three completely removeable panels that weigh no more than 35lbs, each is completely secure and the cover is 100% waterproof. I will post more pictures as I get them. This kind of mod is an important one, nobody I know changes their cover often. Because of the initial upfront expense of this mod, make sure to do your research and get what you want from the start.

Just the back section open....this section can very easily fold 180 degrees to rest on top on the front panels if you have over large cargo just by removing the gas shocks...

Both front panels open. Also it is hard to see in this picture, but you can see them in some of the previous pics. The cover comes with 4 tie down clets because you can haul stuff on top of it.

Not a fan of the fiberglass tonneau covers due to the limitations on what you can haul (without taking it off). If you have the $ to spend on buying a fiberglass tonneau plus getting it painted, I would seriously consider a Retrax Pro. In addition to being able to roll it all the way back and opening your bed, you can distribute up to 600lbs on top of it.

My last cover was a Leer, and although it looked great, it made the bed useless. The Retrax Pro is the cover for me! Just need my R/T first...

here is the undercover Lux. Its color matched to factory paint and i can take it off in a minute and hang it on my garage wall when i don't want it on. The style matches the truck in my opinion.
