On my '22 1500 BigHorn 5.7 eTorq, when I push the tow/haul button, I don't see, or feel, any change. On my 2012, 5.7, the RPM's increase about 500. If I can't see or feel any change, I'm not sure what this is actually doing. Can someone please explain?

If you pushed the button while cruising on the freeway, chances are your '12 locked out 6th gear, the 8HP in your latest truck doesn't lock out gears.
As mentioned it changes shifting to run the engine higher in the torque band and keeps the torque converter locked for better engine braking among other things to aid while towing.

On my 2019 Big Horn it would stay in 8th gear if I selected Tow/Haul while cruising down the freeway but if I was in Tow/Haul when getting up to speed it would stay in 7th for the same speed.

It's just changing the shift strategy, among other things I'm sure. If you drive around with tow/haul on, you'll likely notice that it behaves differently.

The only time mine gets into 8th is when I hit about 65 MPH. Up to 60+ it stays in 7th.

I've tried turning it at different speeds and different gears. I also tried on uphill climb about 50MPH and I don't detect any difference in shifting points or RPM's. I play around with it some more.

Is there a Tow/Haul icon that illuminates on the EVIC when you switch it on?

We have had tow haul in a number of Fords and used it when pulling the travel trailer. Now we have a 2021 Ram 1500 and it is the best we have had. Pulling the trailer on a downhill it holds extremely well. Actually we found that everything on the Ram is better than the Ford except for keyless entry. I did like using the code to unlock the truck.

Yes, it does light up. But I see zero difference in the truck. On my 2012, you could see a change in RPM's and feel it. On my 2022, I don't see or feel any difference. I'm not convinced its doing anything.

It changes the shift points so that an additional load will feel like it's not dragging the trans(with strained or slower shifts). It's supposed to feel like a normal shift with a load and when in tow/haul. I like tow/haul sometimes when not towing because it'll stay in (6 speed in my truck) in lower gears and 4th gear longer too. I like to wind my truck up sometimes just for fun.

Ok, you guys are correct. There is a change, its very subtle but its definitely there in the lower gears.
