Trailer Brake controller

Does anyone know what the AA stands for on the end of the part number 68288763AA. I have a 2018 ram 1500 Laramie and purchased a mopar brake controller and i have noticed that these numbers are different from each controller. I just want to make sure that i got the correct one that will be programmed to the dash and all the other stuff for Laramie.

The two letters at the end are usually associated with a revision of that part. Usually higher revisions (AB, AC, AD, etc) are usually backwards capable.
Brake controllers are specific for model year(s), not trim levels. As the the 18 model year it will use the same one as the '16 model year truck and newer into the "Classic" models.
