My truck is full bolt on and cammed. A converter would do well with my truck with my cam and the weight of my truck alone.
8 or 6 speed?
Gear ratio?
Stall recommended with cam grind?
Hows traction of line now, spin, bog, so-so?

I have an 2012 RCSB with long tubes, CAI, 6.4 intake manifold, throttle body, gears & posi. I wanting to know if anyone has personal experience with both Hemifever and Jay Greene tunes, your preference and why?
I have a 16 2500 with some similar mods. I'm running Sean's HEMIFEVER tune 93 oct. I ran his tune in my 11 1500 5.7 as well with no complaints. I never ran Jay's but spoke with him on the phone and he was a great guy to talk with. Sean always helped me out when needed so I just stuck with him. No complaints and totally different truck from the stock tune.

I just finished up with pcm swap and diablo tuner with hemifever engine and trans tune on my 16 Ram. The truck runs so much better now! I installed some 275-65_20 ridge grappers and the truck was constantly down shifting on my highway cruise to work. Now I can set my cruise at 75 and the truck no longer down shifts constantly.

8 speed. 3.21 gears. I run the moes HPT cam. It’s a 210/222 grind. Traction in 2wd is terrible but I run 4lock at the track. 60ft time so far is a 1.98. Converter would help 60ft times to get into the peak powerband faster when launching.

Do you have anymore info on your 6.4 manifold swap? I just MMX offer it and I've been considering an upgrade

6.4 manifold swap is worth the investment made a big difference. I have seen reports of 30 hp, not hard to do you have to extending harness for active manifold, and mine is a 2012 mopar changed vendors for sensors in about 2014 so map sensor was a bit of a pain in the ass, but it made a big difference glad I did it. You will need to buy a cai for a 2500 6.4 or make your own.

Been thinking about doing the manifold swap for a while, it really makes that big a difference? I'm running a small supercharger, wonder if the effect will multiply. Never been a fan of running boost with the stock manifold/seals.

If you have a Moe's cam you might want to talk to Matt and see what he recommends as far as a converter is concerned. I bet a different converter would make a pretty good difference in your 60 times.

I'm not sure if he's kicking around here as much these days,he bought himself a new 5th Gen. He was running a combo of tunes on his 14,he was Diablo tuned on the engine side and HP tuned on the tranny side. He had one of the 14's with the 8sp that wasn't supported by Diablo as far as tranny tuning went,so he had Jay stack a Diablo engine tune and a HP tranny tune together.
If you have a 14 with an 8 speed there's a good chance Diablo won't support a transmission tune for it,you'll need to go to HP tuning for the transmission tune. Some of the earlier and mid year 14's are oddballs as far as the tranny tune goes
