turning over slow but starts

new to site 2005 dodge ram hemi, slow cranking but starts . New plugs ,coil pacs, wires . think its starter finally giving it up 170 000 kms don't know for sure. Battery was replaced last year .

I would say it is likely the starter. My 2007 hemi has 150K. The starter gave up on Christmas Eve two years ago. It had about 142K miles then (not driven much during covid). It was straining at startup and I knew something was brewing but thought I could ignore until after the holidays. Not so. It is a cheap and very easy fix. I don't recall the cost of the part, maybe $130 from Autozone. Probably cheaper from RockAuto if you can wait. ½ hour to unbolt old and install new. Even if not the starter it is due to fail I would think.

How's your alternator? Just because the battery is new doesn't mean it is being charged properly.
