Does anyone know if a signal could be sent to my truck via Uconnect to send it into "limp" mode from an outside source?

Most likely yes. If a “connected vehicle is stolen it can be disabled by OnStar and Sync so I’ll assume UConnect can do it also.

call me paranoid but 2 days after I had words with the dealer regarding the Cummons emission software update, they asked me if I had a check engine light come,
TA DA..... I had a check engine light come on and the truck went into "limp" mode and now I'm being told it's the transmission. Only 71K miles
So now this is my New Ram Truck picture. The truck gets GREAT milage now but towing a fifth wheel is a challenge.
