Under dash black box

The other day while installing a brake controller I found this little box tucked back behind the dash. Clearly I understand it is not factory but for the life of me I cannot tell what it was added for. I've only owned the truck for less than a year.
As you can see it's wired in. It does look as though some of those wires have been reversed.

Anyone have any thoughts on what this could be?

My thought would be like a lowjack thing, not think it is bluetooth attachment device, but may run on bluetooth, but I am prob 100% wrong. Ne thing stamped on it: Model/Make/numbers? Wonder why ne one would wire something that allegedly came out of a Hyundai Sonata in a RAM, hmmmmmmmm?

I sure as heck would not discombobulate till I knew wat/where it is/was. Have U tried starting truck and do a search for ne thing bluetooth coming up on a bluetooth device search by yer truck?

Most likely some sort of anti-theft device.

I think if you unplug it, your truck will turn into a Hyundai Sonata.

From the look of the aftermarket connectors and whatnot, it's not this poor girl's first rodeo.

Yeah... I was less than impressed when I started to look around at the hack job for wiring someone had done. Everything works so I guess that says something...

That's cool. It would still bother the heck out of me OCD would kick in and I'd have to fiddle and neaten it up and eliminate what's not needed.

What year is the truck? All that is to be expected if she's seen a few owners.

If it is then someone decided to revert back to the factory option prior to me. Would be interesting to see if I could get it to work if indeed it is a remote start.

Sorry if it's been mentioned, but I've seen where buy here pay here type car lots install lojack type black boxes to disable your vehicle should you miss a payment.

Nice Find BIGS. Me thinks U have seen one before. The only trackers I dealt with were ones U attached to vehicles and such like under a wheel or frame, not wired in. Tracker did not even occur to me. Here is URL to item OP: Works through Cellular service so see if it is emitting a bluetooth signal/and or U pick up an unknown when say U search with yer phone for a signal, that will tell U if active or not. LOL...
