Updating the head unit

Just moved up from a 2000 Dakota into a 2019 1500 Classic SLT so all the new digital gizmos are still a little confusing to me. I have the basic head unit (5 inch?) and I want to upgrade to the 8.4 with Android and nav. Is anyone familiar with this outfit - Factory Radio Parts?

I was looking at this item and wondered about a few descriptions:
* What does "nav locked" mean?
* This says compatible up to 2017 1500. I thought 4th Gen were all compatible??

Any other insight into this evolution would be appreciated.

The radio should fit without any issues. With this radio, if it is NAV locked you should be able to turn it on with this radio.

I was under the impression that nav locked meant it was not available and that you would need the dealer to unlock the function.

That's not a whole 8.4 radio and you should not put a 13-17 radio in an 18/19 classic truck imo.
