Using an OBD II cable for a Dash Cam

Is anybody using the IROAD OBD-II Cable to power their Thinkware Dash Cam? I am curious if there are issues using this method to bring power to the camera.

I would recommend against using the OBDII for powering a device. There are better ways of tapping power for this on less important interfaces.
