Years ago i used to build slot car tracks,and using a Diode across the relay contacts was common,not really sure if that's the way Badger was using the diode in his system though,as i think he was wiring it in so that he didn't back feed the canbus system.
This track is still in my basement,it's all computor controlled and times down to the nearest hundredth,i have over a 1,000 hours into building it,majority of that was in wiring it.Can't race the big toys in the winter,so gotta race the little toys,lol
