Vin tag decode.

Does any body know how to decode the vin tag on a ‘93 W250. This isnt the tag up on the dash. This tag is on the passenger side of the cab, below the windshield, with the windshield wipers.

Thanks so much tron67j. What about the tag that shows all the options on the truck? It is located under the windshield wiper cover on the passenger side of the cab.

That should be your vin. If there is another tag I don't recall what is.

The tag I’m talking about is usually located under the hood on the drivers fender of the older cars. On my ‘93W250 it is at the base of the windshield under the wiper screen. You can see it thru the screen. It has all the options the truck was built with.

The only thing that i found was a

I think that the fanciest W250 was called the LE

Yankee, On your '92 250, on the passenger side of the winshield there is another tag. Under the wiper cover. You have to look thru the vent. Thats the tag I'm wondering about. On the cars this tag is on the drivers fender and has all the options the vehicle came with. I would like to know how to read it.

Do a search for fender tag decoder. going to take some digging to weed out the irrelevant ones, but there should be one somewhere for your year truck.
