I just got a Fire Tablet 5th gen used for $30. I had to download some Google Play drivers and the Google Play app, but it works like a charm. AlphaOBD told me that it wouldn't work on my generation of tablets, but the software I downloaded made it work.

To be completely honest Im using a $5 one I bought from ebay years ago. So far ive been able to do everything I have wanted to. I know there are some modules that use a different wiring configuration that the MX can do internally. I haven't run into any of those. I have the MX and haven't actually opened the box, and didnt return it in time for refund on amazon, gonna sell it.
