I have a 2014 2500 4x4 Cummins (101k miles) I use to get messages about going into REGEN and the count down. Now for the last year or two there has been no message about REGEN. I do noticed from time to time that my fuel economy will drop from 20-22mpg to 17-18mpg for maybe 20 miles or more then go back up to 20-22mpg. Is that caused by REGEN?

Fuel mileage does drop during regen. Mine drops way more than yours does. From about 26mpg @55mph to about 12-13mpg @ 55mph.

That is a good thing, messages on a 14 is bad and means the DPF is starting to plug. And it is regening every ~24 hours of drive time you just don;t get any kind of message for that.
