Not true. Mine and my sons were both used and we both got our warranties transferred. My son has never had any warranty work done on his and his warranty has expired now wiht 70,000 miles on it but I had my 8.4 touchscreen replaced under warranty on mine. Both trucks came from an auction in MI and the trucks were from a fleet lease company in Canada. Mine had 8000 on it and my sons had 6000 on it when we got them. That is the process for news... for used they are considered grey market vehicles and dont have a warranty. So to clarify if you purchased it used as a canadian registered vehicle and then try to register it in the US you will lose any warranty you may have had. This does not apply to new. You can add an extended warranty to it, though it does require some manual work to get the vin to work.

There are 2 codes. can't remember the numbers exactly but one was like 596 and one was like 598. One could be transferred and the other couldn't. Not sure what the differences were but ours were both the right codes.
