My 1998 dodge 1500 Sport had a 6" (or what ive been told) lift on it. I believe that it is either 5 or 6 inches, anyway my shocks are old and busted now so what shocks would be the best? I am having a really hard time finding shocks that are made for a 6" lifted 1500.

I would like to know what brand i should go for, what legnth of shock, and what shouldnt i get?

Ive been looking at the Rough Country 20028 and 20029 Nitro 2.0 Shocks but dont know if this is the best option or if its one of my only options.

Please help! Open to any ideas or comments!

I believe Bilstein makes some really good lift shocks, but they're not cheap.

Those are quite pricy... Anything Cheeper but still good?

I'm no expert. Merc225hp on here is pretty knowledgeable in that area, so you can either PM him or wait to see if he shows up in this thread.

Well here are the specs you need for shocks. You can look at Pro-Comp, Skyjacker for other makes, but Bilstein 5100's are great shocks with a very good warrenty behind them.

Front

*Collapsed Length (IN): 19.57
*Extended Length (IN): 30.31

Rear

*Collapsed Length (IN): 20.37
*Extended Length (IN): 31.93

Are there any shocks around $40 that would do me any good? i dont do much hard offroading, just a lot of bumpy country roads and highway. Not any pre-runner level offroading.

Over on Summit I see Skyjacker Nitro shocks and Pro-comp ES9000 in that price range. I had the Skyjacker shocks and did not like the ride at all. I have not used the Pro-Comp shocks so no help there.

My advise is stay away from skyjacker shocks......the bumpy roads make the bushings wear out really fast and then u got a rattling shock and is very annoying.
