My irritation at the tire rubbing reached a fevered pitch today and it's time for something to change. I stopped by 4WheelParts to see about lifting but that was gonna cost me $3000, I'd love to have a few more inches of lift but that stings a bit too much. My only other option is new wheels. I ordered -12 offset because that was what I had on my 1500 and liked the look and that was a mistake, still rubbing even with substantial trimming.

I'm running 325/60R20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, does anyone else run this particular tire on an aftermarket wheel? If so and you don't have rubbing, what offset worked for you?

I don't think they're going to make a difference unfortunately

Spacers for some cheap lift?

Spacers aren’t a bad deal if it is no more than 2.5 and you make sure to address the bump stops. You retain your factory coils which is a benefit if you have a plow package etc. People seem to think spacers are a plague but I personally have never heard any horror stories with a decent kit. Downsides are it’s not going to improve your off road capability (except if you then put on bigger tires to get some more clearance). And your ride quality won’t get any better.

Any reputable coil spacer advertised as a 2 or 2.5 inch is going to probably net you just under 3 inches of height up front. Which on these trucks is easily enough for 37’s with the right wheel. You can fit a 40+ inch Continental MPT under these trucks with 3 inches of lift.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to wheel spacers. I have the Thuren Overland lift on my truck already, 2.75" in front and 1" in the rear, I'm not sure if I could add spacers to that or not. Might have to touch base with Thuren and ask.

Just emailed Don at Thuren and he replied already, it's a no-go on coil spacers with his lift. He says I'd need a 6" lift to clear what I've got. I'll just find some new +18mm wheels and order them.

No, I was referring to wheel spacers but I suppose that assumes you were rubbing on the inside of the wheelwell or suspension vs. the outside of the wheelwell.

I'm rubbing on the outside of the tread against the back of the fender liner.

Your best bet is going with a +21 if you find one you like. Otherwise a +18 should work. Probably be close with either.

Heat gun, zip ties, and a little trimming. Where there's a will, there's a way. I ran 37's on 2" of lift and RAM_Designs is running the same suspension. You have more lift and smaller tires, you just need to trim a little.

I’ve got 35s on my CTD and ended up trimming a little of the plastic liner off at the very bottom. The tires were just barely touching, I could see where so a Dremel tool and 5 minutes later no more rub. Total cost: 0 dollars.

How far does each wheel stick out past the fender on ur truck Cincycuda68? I’m curious is all, with stock parts and a 3” lift you think the axle would of shifted a little.

About 2” no shifting at all. Thing rides great too. I had planned on switching to a zone or bds down the road but completely happy with this.
I didn’t want to go 6” with 37’s because I use the bed quite a bit and at 48 years old, I don’t jump that high these days.

Unless he added an extended track bar, Absolutely the axle has shifted.

Relocating trac bar or adjustable trac bar is part of virtually every lift kit I’ve ever seen, including the cheapo I am running, so no the axle hasn’t shifted.

Not "every" lift and you did not state that there was a relocation bracket, just said is was a cheapo lift which could have been just a spacer.
