Thinking about adding some wheel spacers to my 2500 to give it a wider stance. I think I would like somewhere between 1.5-2" spacers. Seems like I have read anything under 2" & you have to trim the lugs down. Is this true & has anyone done this? This sounds like it would suck to trim down 32 lugs. What is the best way to do this with a saws all or hacksaw? Either way I guess you would want to leave the bolts on, trim the lugs back & then unbolt so the nut chases the threads as you take it off. With the factory wheels I think I would like only a 1.5" spacer but might would go 2" just so I wouldn't have to do all that trimming.

I'm missing 2 cylinders
I heard you can get away with a 1.75" spacer without trimming, but that may only be for the 1500's

I'm not sure but I think it would depend on your wheels too. Some wheels have some "indentions" or recessed areas in the mounting surface (where it bolts to the hub) which may allow a small protrusion of the studs to clear. I know this is the case with the OEM 20" wheels on Jeep Grand Cherokees.

I got 2" spacers with no problems on a 1500
not sure if the studs on the 2500's are longer or not ?

Just pop a tire off and measure to be sure

I’d like to throw the 2” boras on my truck. Problem is I drive a lot. Up to 500 miles a week. Bad idea?
