When installing steps on 22 ram 2500, are brackets required? Or just bolts and inserts?

I just received my 2022 ram 2500 without side steps. Buddy of mine took his steps off his jeep pick up and gave them to me. I was wondering if I just have to buy a hardware mounting kit which comes with bolts and inserts or do I also have to purchase brackets ?
