Just got my first ram pickup!
Im loving it so far and im well on my way to choosing the aftermarket pieces to make it mine.
Ive been noticing though that practically everything I look at is $300.

Diablo tuner - $350~
S&B intake - $299
PTB - $349
CatBack Ex. - $400+

Im really looking forward to upgrading this truck, but its not gonna happen quickly.

Congrats on the new truck

Why does everything cost $300+...?

We had a saying back in my younger days around the track,

Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

Instead of dropping $1500 on performance goodies, you could've just paid the premium for a 5.7...

My previous truck was a F-O-R-D that was quickly becoming a P-O-S.
I traded that truck in for the same price I bought it for. ($14,000)
The dealership had this ram on the lot for $22,000.
22-14=8.
Now I have a '13 4.7 that I paid $8,000 for. No brainer

I've been thinking everything is more reasonably priced compared to the RSX Type S that I traded in.

K-pro (Tunable ECU) was around $1200
Header and cat back were around $600 each
The intake I got was $350 (Any decent CAI will run over $250)
etc...

...and while I though that was expensive other cars are even more so.

+$4,000 to make your truck go as fast as a 5.7L Hemi. You obviously bought this truck to save money. Its a 4.7L, it will never be fast. Get over that and move on. Save your bucks if money is that much of a concern and step up in a couple years to something with more power.

4.7 plus spray, there is a guy on here with some sick track times. But pop on over to the audio section we can show you speed maybe cheaper in the end lol.

You didn't pay $8,000 for it. You paid $22,000 and $14,000 was equity from your previous truck. lawd help us, some of these folks with delusions about finances.
