will 1500 fit 2500

Hello recently acquired a 97 2500 with 12 valve cummins the engine and drive terrain are in great shape but the body is completely scrap.
I was thinking about buying a ram 1500 for the body will it fit on the 2500 frame ? Cab and box ...

Body should be no issue so long as configuration is the same. A truck with a regular cab will only except regular cabs as the mounts are different, so you can't put a club or quad cab on. Same with boxes short box goes on short box, long box trucks they don't mix and match unfortunately.

No problem, be sure to post pics! Also be aware the dashes are different in earlier years from later. Since you're a 97, look for one from 94-97. 98-01 have a different dash.
