Hello all,

I have a rookie question, any help is appreciated. The dealership has not been helpful, nor google.

I have a 2010 Ram 1500 4x4 with a 4.7L V8, it has the factory 17x7" wheels on it with a tire size of 265/70/17. I recently purchased a set of factory 20x8" wheels with a tire size of 275/60/20. The tire size is not my concern, the wheel size is.

More info: the new wheels came off of a 2019 Warlock. The measurements on the inside of the wheel (as put by the factory, not hand measured.) are 20x8.0J 19.05mm. They are a 5x5.5 lug pattern, the same pattern as the factory 17x7" wheels.

My question: Will the new 20x8" wheels fit on my 2010 1500? Did I make a mistake?

Should fit fine. According to the door sticker my first 09 Ram came with the 17" wheels, but when I bought it, it had the 20" chrome clads. The lug nuts from the Warlock won't work though - different thread pitch I think.

Interesting - I thought all the 2019s came with the new six lug wheels

If what you bought are 5.5 they will work fine.

I would suggest, that you pull one lug out of your truck
then look at one of the new to you rims & check if the curvature of both lug holes looks the same, then hold that lug against the hole in the new wheel, they should match perfectly.
sometimes people use a different lug Flange
just check to be sure
everything should be fine 5 x 5.5″ (also referred to as a 5 x 139)

I am very late with responding to this post, however I would like to thank everyone, as well as post a picture of how the wheel swap went. Everything worked out fine, while keeping the stock lug nuts.

Here is a before/after picture of my 2010 with it's stock 17", going to OEM 20" wheels from a 2019 Rebel. No issues with rubbing or anything at all, really. The tires I used are the:

GOODYEAR WRANGLER ALL-TERRAIN ADVENTURE WITH KEVLAR 275/60R20 115T

Now, for a front leveling kit to get rid of the factory rake! Again, thank you all for your help and advice!

Take care everyone!
