Technically it’s the front of the transfer case, is this the 44-45 mounting tab? Maybe it’s for balance

Either way it’s gotta go, weight reduction and easier y-pipe accessibility for cutout/clamping.

All I had to do was remove the transfer case skid plate and there was plenty of room for the cut out? I guess I dont see your vision lol

More room to work with a MIG instead of hoping a collar clamp stays sealed.

Pipe and wire is cheap.
