I've had these Zone upper control arms for over 2 years, just now getting ready to install. When moving the ball joint on one of the arms the boot comes completely out from underneath the blue ring that's supposed to hold it in place, exposing the bj. I tried replacing the boot and ring over it, same thing happens when you move the bj. Not sure if it's ripped or just bad design. Boot on the other arm has a full range of motion without budging. Zones site says 3year warranty so contacted them, hopefully they honor it. Am I the only one?

Try to move the boot down towards the blue ring. You should be able to open the blue ring and move it up and place around the boot so that when you put the edge of the boot where it should the ring can seal it and hold in place.

To give you an idea look at the difference in my UCA exposed bj shaft compared to yours. The boot should move a little more. Just push the boot down with your hands and maniuplate the silver ring as well if needed.

Thanks for the reply. I tried putting the boot back on different ways several times with no luck, I think some grease got all on the wrong side of the ring and boot and that messed up any chances of it staying.

I contacted zone, apparently the warranty is 2 year for higher wear parts like ball joints, bushings etc. I was just over a month out of that 2 years, but since they were never installed they made an exception and sent me not one, but 2 new ball joints ready to go. Super happy about that, good customer service seems to be harder and harder to find.
