Has this been done yet?

What projectors fit the new vertical 2013 fog light housings?

With as narrow as the '13 fogs are, my guess is anything other than the 'matchbox' or 'blazer' projectors wouldn't fit.

Maybe some Ford Fusion projectors? But that's getting to be a lot of work real quick!

yeah....

Blazers are not made anymore, so the Matchbox may be it. The Fusion ones are bigger - doubt they'll fit.

Hoping soon that I can crack these and check.

I've been talking to JJ about this for a little bit now. I know he's busy, so I've been waiting to hear from him when he has the time to mess with them.

Let us know if you get some. I'd like to do the all black theme and have the housing painted to match the headlights, when I order them.

Yeah, i'd like to black mine out as well if i can find a projector to fit.

The matchbox would be the one i think.. but they look so long.. but who knows, maybe they'll fit.

yup!

(and the shroud can be black too).

They aren't cheap, these are the same parts that go into the headlights - and though I don't charge as much for labor on them, they actually take me longer to do than the headlights. :boxed:

I read in a Chrysler release that the reason they changed the fogs on the '13+ was to increase lens area... I don't believe they're smaller, but I may be wrong.

I'd just like to know what bulb they use to see if I can get something different in there.

Sylvania doesn't have that info yet.

They have a 9006 bulb in them.

They are physically larger, but.....there are some limitations to them on retrofitting. Mainly with the bracket they have on them.

With that said........

BAM!

Thats the Matchbox projectors in there, the Mini......oh so close to fitting. I mean, it "could", but the mounting would be a *****.....and these Matchboxes will do just fine in the fogs. ;)

If the dealer has a pass side, I could have a set of chromes ready to go this weekend. ;)

I'm still debating..........

2 issues?

1 - the fogs are OEM, not aftermarket. So, they are over 2x the cost of the 09-12 aftermarket fogs I typically use. The projectors list at the same cost, but my cost is almost 2x on those too.

2 - I am having a VERY hard time contemplating the listing of these fogs over $500. Thats freakin' insane. But, using the calculator from the prior sets......well, its over.

F it, I'll mark them at the same cost of the 09-12s. I'm going to list them up on the site here over the weekend. So, they'll list at 480. If anyone is interested, pop me an email - [email protected]
