I didn't think you could run 12.50's with factory wheels because of the backspacing ... Spacers ?

that's what I understand also, at least .5", maybe even .75" just to clean UCAs. More just gives you more tire peek

Every 12.5" is not created equal, some are true to size, some are wider and some are narrower. A guy at work ran Federal Couragia 35x12.5 on stock 20" chrome clads. They cleared the ucas just fine but rubbed a little at full lockout.

that makes sense. My wife says I can't get new tires since mine only have 19K on them. She doesn't appreciate the fact they are the crappy SRAs though.

JB- I agree. Kinda rethinking if I need to go 35x12.5, but the Falkens I want are only 32.4", not the 35" like the Nittos are
shadowhawk, maybe check the weight on those Falkens. When I was researching tires I noticed the Falken wildpeak was a fair bit heavier than the others

if I compare the same tires in a 285/55r20, they are only a few lbs difference. Nitto makes a 285/65r20, but falken doesn't.

The same tires in 35x12.5r20, Nitto is 12 lbs lighter per tire than Falken. The Nitto is $120 more per tire though.

12lbs is a metric **** ton though when you're already adding a lot of weight going from the SRA's to a 35" tire. You'll not only feel that extra weight in the pedal but your wallet as well.

I go from 275/65R20 on factory wheels (which are heavy btw) to 35 x 12.50 Toyo ATll's on Dropstars twice a year because of OH winters ... I don't notice a thing ... 285's are barely bigger than stock 275's ... 12.50's look much better00834a19928b94e8b184c3ff3d09559c.jpg

Have the 3.21/8 spd with 35 nittos. I refrained from moving to 37's due to the added sluggishness. Now that I have a PC, I realize that would have been irrelevant other than a little more drain on my mpg. So long as I can confirm a heavier tire will not compromise anything else, I'll not be concerned with the added weight.

my wife is not at all thrilled with the almost $3 a gallon gas prices. losing MPG isn't a good selling point to her

I'm still getting 13.5 mpg lifted 4" with 35 x 12.50's ... And I have what might be considered a heavy right foot ... Can't resist the sound of the Magnaflow cat-back ... Lol ... If you bought a truck with a Hemi with fuel mileage in mind, you may have made the wrong choice ... I hear the Eco-boosts are nice, and they sound like a ricer with a fart can exhaust

Haha, I quit selling my mods to my wife, it wasn't working. I started trading instead.

Me:
I'm getting another mod.

My Wife:
I'm getting another tattoo.

Me:
Ok!

Me and my wife when I was a salesman:
:buttkick:

Me and my wife now with trade agreements:
:kiss1:

I have more tattoos than she does, and she doesn't want any new ones. She did, however, get a new patio. I think that qualifies me for a new garage floor plus new tires on the truck! :hidesbehindsofa:

I'm with you on that. Worth testing the waters, whatever works is my motto.. But we all know it doesn't matter what we think. Lol.... Unpredictable creatures they are. I'm riding the train until it flies off the tracks, then I'll seek out a new train!
