I was wondering if it would be safe to use the blue coolant from BMW or VW on our trucks? Anyone know?

Hey neighbor, I don't know but before you do that look up Evan's coolant. We use it in every vehicle. It is not water based and no more corrosion takes place. Has a 360 degree boiling point and you never have to flush or replace again. Ever!!

Downside, it costs $40.00/gallon but hey this is your baby we are talking about!

Don't know about the 4th gens but I know the 3rd gens need a specific type of engine coolant, either Mopar or some other brand that starts with a Z. All others cause issues with the parts for some reason.

Just tossing that out there before you put anything in and regret it.

Google is your friend. Look up the ingredients in the stuff you got and then look up what hemis need. I belive dodge uses HOAT antifreeze.

Yeah I googled it and found the HOAT info. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and what were their results. I know a lot of guys have done it with Chrysler 300's and magnums and chargers. Just wondering about our trucks is all.

European coolant such as the ones used in VW/BMW etc, the blue one to your referring, are NOT HOAT compatible. Pentosin - Antifreeze

HOAT is all that recommended and pretty much only a few brands make it.

Nah it's not about matching my truck. Per say. I'm looking into a killerglass and think it might look better with blue coolant. Just an idea I'm running through before I pull the trigger.

The Killerglass looks really cool, but I've seen Pyrex do some ugly things in the kitchen. I can only imagine what it would do under the hood.
This would be a show car item, in my opinion. Putting it on a daily driver would be begging for trouble.
